Meet Dr Colin Kilmartin


Hailing from Dublin, Dr. Colin Kilmartin commenced the study of medicine in 2003. Right after graduation from University College Dublin, he worked in the Mater Hospital before engaging in four years of specialist medical training in General Practice.

He has extensive hospital based experience in medicine and surgery including in Respiratory, Cardiology, Gynaecology, Obstetrics, Paediatrics, Emergency and Addiction medicine.

He has post graduate training in minor surgical skills with the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland and ran a successful minor surgery community clinic based in Dublin City University.

He has a Masters Degree in Public Health Management from University of Cumbria.

He spent three years living in the Arabian Gulf in Qatar working with Emir Al Thani as a Consultant Family Physician to establish the Qatar national addiction treatment program culminating in 2017 with the opening of a 125 bed treatment facility in Doha, Qatar.

He served his country as an Army Doctor working with Defence Forces Ireland. Commisioned as an army officer by President Michael D Higggins, he served as Captain of the Army Medical Corps in South Lebanon in 2019.

 Meet Liv Phelan

BSc, RGN, Dip Psy ED, Dip Psy CSE, Dip CBT, Pg Dip Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy

Ms Phelan comes from Dublin and gained her Bachelor of Science Degree in University College Dublin before completing her postgraduate studies with Diplomas in Counselling, Psychotherapy and Psychoanalysis,  Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Eating Disorders and Building Child Self Esteem,  

She has a wide variety of  clinical experience caring for people at their most vulnerable times in the Emergency Department and Operating theatre but currently practices in private practices in Rush and in Dublin 4.

She works closely with Crisis Text Line offering supportive counselling to clients both in Ireland and in the United States.

This is a service for 18 years of age and older
